In my house, I make dinner. I enjoy it and I love cooking for my family. I savor the moments when we are all gathered around a table. Sometimes, I admit it can be hard to have the energy to cook after a full day of work. But it is always worth the effort. There is nothing more comforting than a home cooked meal. And of course, the question that everyone asks as soon as I get home: “What’s for dinner?”
I made this chalkboard menu to answer that question and also because I get excited to see what’s coming up, especially when there is chocolate cake on the menu!
All you need is an old framed picture. This piece of art was something that was about to go in a garage sale but I saved it knowing I could make use of it for a craft. Once you have your canvas then all you need is painters tape, chalkboard paint, a brush, and chalk to write.
I painted a couple coats and let the paint dry in between. It was a simple project I finished in an afternoon. I have a lot of chalkboard paint left so there will be plenty more chalkboard crafts ahead for me!
